Accessibility Statement

Our Commitment to Digital Accessibility

Restore & Repel wants every visitor, including people who use screen readers, screen magnification, voice navigation, or keyboard-only browsing, to be able to find information about our services and reach us when they need help after water, fire, or storm damage. Accessibility isn’t an afterthought we bolt on later; it’s something we try to build into the site from the start, because a homeowner dealing with a flooded basement shouldn’t also have to fight with a website.

Standards We Work Toward

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. In practice, that means working toward things like sufficient color contrast, text that resizes without breaking the layout, descriptive link text instead of vague phrases like “click here,” logical heading structure, and forms that are labeled clearly enough for assistive technology to interpret correctly. We also test that core pages, including our contact and estimate request forms, are navigable using a keyboard alone and compatible with common screen readers.

No website is ever fully “finished” when it comes to accessibility. Standards evolve, browsers and assistive technologies update, and we may miss something despite our efforts. We treat this as ongoing work rather than a one-time checkbox.

What This Looks Like in Practice

When we publish new pages or update existing ones, we check for things like alt text on meaningful images, readable font sizing, and consistent navigation that doesn’t rely on mouse-only interaction. Our contact form is built so that field labels and error messages are announced properly to screen readers, not just shown visually.

If You Run Into a Problem

If you use assistive technology and run into a barrier anywhere on this site, whether that’s a page that won’t navigate by keyboard, an image missing a description, or a form field that doesn’t read correctly, we want to know about it. Please contact us with as much detail as you can provide, including the page URL, the browser and assistive technology you were using, and a description of what happened. That detail helps us track down the issue faster than a general report.

You can reach us by:

Our Response

We review accessibility reports as they come in and aim to address confirmed issues within a reasonable window, prioritizing anything that blocks a visitor from reaching our contact information or requesting service. If a fix will take longer than expected, we’ll try to let you know what we’re doing in the meantime, including offering an alternate way to reach us by phone if the site itself is the obstacle.

Alternative Access

If you ever need information from this site and can’t get it through the website itself, whether due to an accessibility barrier or any other reason, call us directly at (800) 393-1532 or email [email protected] and we’ll walk through it with you over the phone.
